Perennial grass grown for its fragrant leaves and stalks. It is prized in Asian cooking, and in teas, sauces, and soups. Lemongrass likes it hot ,with well-drained soil. Space two feet apart. Can be grown in the ground or in containers. Water consistently to avoid the tops drying out. Harvest stalks at one foot in height and one-half inch in width at the base of the stalk. |
