Tarragon loves a warm, sunny, sheltered location and light, dry, well-draining soil. Tolerates nutrient-poor soils. Dies back in winter but produces new growth in spring. Divide every 2-3 years to renew vigor. Leaves have a distinctive flavor that cannot easily be replaced with other herbs and will not be achieved using Russian or Mexican Tarragon.
